Memorial Portraits ~ love forever
"When we had to put our beloved Lobo down I knew that my husband would be particularly despondent, since the bond between them was extraordinarily strong. Tomar and I worked to find just the right photograph for her to use as a starting point. What amazes me is that Lobo's incredibly expressive eyes came through in her portrait - with exactly the same quality they had when he stared at us. So her portrait is not only beautiful, it is TRUE. We are delighted and moved. What talent Tomar has!"

When a much-loved four-legged family member passes,
we are deeply affected, often bereft.
A vivid portrait that captures your animal's presence, spark, and personality
can continue to connect you to your shared love and joy. A good portrait can be
both a consolation and a lasting delight. It will keep the spirit of your pet with you forever, in a meaningful and beautiful way.

Clemmie lived in my building and was a veteran of the neighborhood. I called her "the mayor of Claremont Ave," as she was always holding court out on the stoop with one of her caretakers. Her Buddha-like calm presence attracted humans and dogs alike. I cried when I learned of her passing.
Clemmie's mom had this to say:
"Tomar, what an incredibly lovely portrait of Miss Clementine. You really captured her sweet spirit. It's really wonderful!!!! It's amazing what a likeness it is. it feels as if Clemmie is looking at me when I look at your portrait of her. Many heartfelt thanks for your work. "

Peanut lived just under two years and belonged
to a friend of mine. This picture of him as a kitten
shows what a special cat he was.
"When I saw Tomar's portrait of
my beloved dog, whom I'd lost
earlier that year, I burst into tears. "
